Hain Celestial in Environmental Excellence Awards

Hain Celestial UK has been nominated through to the final round for the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management Environmental Excellence Award.

Entered in the category of "Recycling Performance of the Year", the award is reviewed on the following areas:

As businesses become more aware of their impact on the environment many are adopting
a number of initiatives to improve their environmental sustainability. Reducing resource use
and recycling waste are often important components of any environmental improvement
campaign and have the added advantage of cost savings!
This award is to recognise excellent performance in recycling across all industries, demonstrated
in a number of the following ways:
¦ recycling of a new material type
¦ finding a market for a waste material (either in house or externally)
¦ new materials (for example materials that are not currently recycled but due to research are
now able to be recycled into another product)
¦ sustainability (of the product or process).

Entries will be judged on the material type(s) recycled, the percentage of recycling achieved
during the year (both in total and as an increase from previous years) and the market for the
recycled material.
