Hain Celestial win bronze award
01 June 2007
Hain Celestial has been investing in its health and safety programme over recent years and in recognition of its commitment to workplace and employee safety, the company received a Bronze Award by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
The RoSPA awards have been in place for over 50 years and are one of the longest running and most highly respected occupational award programmes in the UK. The awards aim to honour companies that take a genuine interest in maintaining and improving employee safety. Companies that enter are analysed over a year long period, during which their health and safety practices are monitored and assessed by the RoSPA. The judging criteria take into account a range of performance indicators including occupational health and safety management, consistent applications of risk measures and measures of outcomes such as reductions in near misses and employee injuries.
In particular, it was Hain Celestial’s investment in employee information and training programmes which earned the company the RoSPA Bronze Award. Comments Maureen Raphael, Occupation Health & Safety Manager, Hain Celestial: “At Hain Celestial our employee safety is paramount and we make a concerted effort to create not only an enjoyable, but safe environment for all of our employees. It is a great honour to receive recognition for our current health and safety programmes and the award inspires us to strive even harder in the future.”
