Hain Celestial Celebrates ISO14001 Environmental Award

Hain Celestial, one of the largest natural and organic food companies in the world and manufacturers of the Linda McCartney range in the UK, has been awarded the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 14001 accreditation for its environmental management systems.

Based in Luton, Hain Celestial UK has been presented with the accreditation for the steps that it has taken to minimise how its operations negatively affect the environment.

Peter McPhillips, Executive Chairman, Hain Celestial Europe said, “As one of the world’s largest producers of natural and organic food and personal care products, Hain Celestial takes its environmental responsibilities very seriously. Helping to protect the environment is an integral part of the company philosophy and this accreditation will help us to do just that.”

Maureen Raphael, Occupational Health and Safety Manager, Hain Celestial UK said “The changes that we have made have already resulted in significant savings in relation to energy and waste, both in terms of monetary and reducing our environmental impact. As this process is based around continual improvement we anticipate even more improvements to come.”
