Hain Celestial is a Sunday Times Best Green Company!

Hain Celestial UK, one of the largest natural and organic food companies in the world and owners of the Linda McCartney range in the UK, has been recognised as one of Britain’s greenest companies in The Sunday Times Green List, coming in at number 41.

Based in Luton with factories in Fakenham, London and Manchester, Hain Celestial UK has been presented with the honour following the company’s efforts to reduce waste and educate employees on the best and most efficient recycling methods.

In 2006, Hain Celestial recycled less than 9% of its 40 tonnes of waste, most of which is organic in origin. Setting targets to reduce waste by 85%, in just a few months Hain Celestial had achieved that goal and was recycling over 88% of its waste. Targets have now been reset to achieve 95% by the end of 2008.
